The Wong Wedding
A lot of things can be said about a person by merely looking at the place they grew up in.
Home, they say, is where the heart truly is. It is where kids usually learn their first words, first steps, eat their first solid food, and a lot of other firsts. As teens it is where they dream about our first crushes and cry through their first heartbreaks. A lot of joyous things happen at home. And all these, because of the comfort it brings to our hearts. It balances out the extreme feelings that rushes through our veins when we are both sad and happy. It is where we can be real– not a need to hide or pretend.
James and Nikki couldn’t have chosen a better place to have their pre ceremony shoot than in the comfort of their own homes. As they build one of their own, we let their homes highlight what molded them into what they are now and what they will become in the years to come. It is where James might have learned his first dance moves or where Nikki might have discovered that colors, when mixed, creates a tasteful art.
As they opened this new chapter in their lives, their loved ones felt extra special and at-home because of the breakfast theme of the celebration. And who wouldn’t forget the sumptuous and tasty Pinoy breakfast they prepared, with matching “taho”? Must be their way of saying that everyone who attended is part of their family.
Whatever the universe did to make them meet, began where they did– at home. And there’s no doubt the universe did a great job!
Kudos, James and Nikki! Well done, universe!
